Card Kit Swap Update

It's been a while since I posted anything...but I am here today to post a card I made from one of the kits I received in the Swap. I used Copics to color the image and used the picture provided in the kit to complete the card....the kit was designed by Magnolia Member Bernet Bagley.

I can't figure out how to make the picture smaller...have been trying for an hour...I don't give up easily..but I give up.  If someone can help me out...I would send you a thank you card!  Help!  No one came to my rescue so after an hour...I figured out how to remove the picture of the card.

I loved all the paper and embellishments she provided. It will be one of my BRAK birthday cards in December.

For those of you who are new to the Magnolia-licious Group, the Card Kit Swap is a fun activity...you provide 6 kits and receive 5 in return....and you never know what image you will receive. I have several Tilda stamps, but when I get the kits, there are always images I don't have.

Along with the images you get paper, embellishments and often extra images. Members use different brands of paper for stamping...I have been able to try some papers I have never used...and people are getting very creative with their embellishments....it's so much fun to see the kits every month.  I created an Album under the Photos Section #2 Card Kit Swap for us to display the cards we make from Swap Kits...there are a few already posted.

If you are interested in joining the Card Kit Swap, there are Guidelines under File on the website that provides information you will need to participate. If you have questions after you read them, please email me (privately) and I will answer your questions.

Card Kit Swap Easel Card

Happy Monday!

Here's another card I made from one of the kits I received from Monica M. from NJ. I love this Tilda...and didn't have her in my collection. I added some Prima roses, pearls, Cuttlebug dotted swiss with Martha Stewart punched corners and came up with a card to wish someone "love and laughter forever after"!

The deadline to sign up for the July Card Kit Swap is Wednesday, July 21. Deadline to get card kits to me is August 2nd.

Just got my Magnolia DOOHICKEYS in the mail....I am going to go play with them! Here's to a great week!

Criss Cross Tilda

Here's a card I created from one of the kits I received in the June Card Kit Swap. Lynn Hagen provided a stamped image, some beautiful paper, satin ribbon and roses along with some lace in the kit. I found a tutorial on a Magnolia site for a Criss Cross Card and decided to give it a try.

I love how it turned out....it was fun to make and the DP was perfect for the criss cross design.

If you are interested in participating in a Card Kit Swap...you can sign up by emailing me directly. The deadline to get the kits to me is August 2...so you still have plenty of time. Complete instructions on participating in the swap are located on the Magnolia-licious site under File.

Thanks to those who took time to visit my new blog and leave comments....you all inspire me!

My First Posting of Tilda

The other day someone asked me for my blog address...and I had to tell her I didn't have one...yet! Well, here I am with my very own blog...not sure how it all works, but I am sure I will figure it out eventually.

This card is one from the last Magnolia Card Kit Swap. Barbara Gates put together some paper, images, ribbon and embellishments and this is the result...all the kits were great, but this one got my attention first.

Since I didn't have a blog when I made the card, I didn't keep track of any of the colors I used...I will have to learn to do that for future posts.
